The trick to this recipe is marinading. The hamburger meat soaks up the marinade juices creating a moist, zesty hamburger patty full of flavor. We added cheddar cheese, which can often times be overpowering, and we could still taste those delicious zesty flavors. Skip the cheese to keep this burger patty dairy free.
Start by placing the hamburger meat (or substitute turkey) in a large zip-lock bag.
Using a food processor or blender, blend all of the ingredients (NOT including the hamburger meat). Combine until you have a semi-smooth consistency.
Add your marinade, zip the bag closed and shake your bag a bit to evenly coat the meat.
Let your mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. We threw ours together in the morning, ran out to run errands for a few hours and then came back to start our BBQing.
Shape the marinaded hamburger into patties and grill until lightly pink in the center.

My husband and I have been taking advantage of the warmer Wisconsin weather and using our grill to make many of our summer meals. He likes to get creative in the kitchen so this recipe credit goes to him!
He is such a wiz at throwing together a delicious marinade. This one is one of my favorites so I thought I’d share it with you.
