Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine first four ingredients in a mixing bowl and pour into an 8x8 baking dish. Top with biscuits and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. If biscuits start getting too brown cover with foil and continue to bake. Refrigerate leftovers as they are even better the next day.

Now this is not a recipe I make often for obvious reasons. Over the last holiday I was unable to make it to the family celebrations. I craved the dishes I knew were being prepared for the gatherings. This recipe is one my grandmother has made for me my entire life. I actually request it when I make my travel plans. So I thought it may ease the sadness and make me feel that warm feeling inside.
