Savory Ham and Cheese Tart

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Remove puff pastry sheet from freezer and thaw on the counter for 45 minutes.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Cook onions stirring often for about 10 minutes.  Lower heat slightly and add small amounts of water to prevent sticking. Cook an additional 30 minutes watching carefully.  The onions will caramelize and the sweetness will increase.

Follow up with the ham...placing the ham onto the dough

Weight Watchers PointsPlus 11 per slice (makes approximately 6 slices). With the assumption that you are using approximately 1/4 pound ham and 8 oz. swiss cheese.


I love Trader Joe’s so much and since moving to Florida I no longer get to go there.  There is one item I got every shopping trip and that was their caramelized onion ham and cheese pizza.  I tried to re-create it and guess what…SUCCESS!
