**You can use 1 Tablespoon maple syrup, rather than 2 Tablespoons, if you would prefer less maple flavor. The glaze will still be sweet because of the powdered sugar but will have less of a maple taste.

In a small saucepan heat your butter.

When the butter has melted add the vanilla, maple syrup, and powdered sugar.

This mixture will be very thick. Use small amounts of water to thin it to your desired consistency. (It doesn't take much water!) Start with 1 teaspoon of water and work your way up from there.

This recipe will coat 2 dozen muffins.

This glaze can be made as sweet as you’d like. It is one of those glazes that fits perfectly with almost any dessert. Your friends will ask you, “What is it about this glaze that makes it soooo good?!”
