- Prep Time : 5 minutes
Spray the crockpot with cooking spray (for easier clean-up!)
Place 6-8 chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
Cover with the spices above or your choice of spices. The beauty of this recipe is that any spices will work!
I was in a hurry, if you have the time brown the chicken in a pan on the stove prior to placing in the crockpot. This will give your chicken a crunchy texture.
Pour 3/4 can/bottle of beer over the top (Use the full can/bottle if using 8 chicken breasts). I used a darker brew for a deeper flavor.
Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 8 hours.
The chicken will be super moist and will practically fall apart. YUM!
You will have a lot of liquid left in the pot when the cooking is complete. You can toss the extra liquid or you can make it into gravy:
Pour the liquid into a medium saucepan. Over Medium high heat bring the mixture to a soft boil.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine 2 Tablespoons corn starch or flour with 2-4 Tablespoons of water. Mix well until there are no clumps.
When your liquid comes to a boil slowly pour the cornstarch/flour mixture into the liquid, stirring constantly.
The mixture should begin to thicken. If you want it thicker, repeat the water and cornstarch step.
This recipe (without gravy) is 3 Weight Watchers PointsPlus for 1 chicken breast.
This recipe is so simple it literally took me less than 5 minutes to throw it all together. It was a huge hit! My kids get super active in the winter and we are always on the run so crockpot recipes help A LOT!
