Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook shells according to package directions but do not overcook. Run under cold water to stop the cooking then drain.
Mix together cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese (reserve a small amount to sprinkle on top), Parmesan cheese, egg, and garlic. Rub the dried herbs in the palms of your hands to awaken them, and stir into the cheese mixture. Stuff mixture into the shells.
Spread 1/3 of tomato sauce in the bottom of a 8 x 8 inch pan. Place shells open side up, and close together in pan. Spread remaining sauce over top, and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake for 20- 25 minutes.
