Cast Iron Skillet Pizza

The ingredients listed are just suggestions.  What I happened to have on hand.  Mix it up and get creative with it.

  • Prep Time : 5 minutes
  • Cook Time : 20 minutes
  • Yield : 25


Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Spray pan with cooking spray.  Press dough into skillet and slightly up the sides.  Layer toppings and cover with cheese.  Heat pan on high for three minutes on the stovetop.  Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.  Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil.

This method makes for a buttery and crispier crust. Enjoy!

1 14 inch pizza will make 8 servings. Each serving is 10 Weight Watchers PointsPlus.

Now this one came on by chance.  I had a pizza dough in the fridge for days.  I make my own on regularly. Check out our Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe. It was expanding at a very quick pace and I knew another day could not go by before it exploded in the bag.  The problem…my one and only pizza pan was in the dishwasher.  I keep a cast iron skillet on my stovetop at all times, basically so I am inspired to use it more and also that thing is heavy and I don’t want to lug it in and out of the low drawer.  Once it caught my eye it all made sense. Instant deep dish pizza with quicker cooking time than a regular pizza.
